Copper Mountain Frisco Bay Marina

Sure, the mountains here in Colorado are great but sometimes in the summer, you just want to get out on the water. When you're in Summit County, Frisco Bay Marina has it covered!

Frisco Bay Marina is located on the shores of the Dillon Reservoir right in the heart of Summit County. When driving to Summit County via I-70, you can't miss it - it's huge. Spanning across 3,300 acres and boasting 25 miles of shoreline, there's definitely no shortage of room to play.

The Marina provides all sorts of craft rentals - canoes, kayaks, powerboats, pontoon boats, and SUPs (stand up paddleboards). If you'd rather not navigate the waters on your own, you can take a Classic Boat Tour. A member of the marina's staff will take you and up to 4 of your friends and family out on the water in a beautifully restored 1969 Runabout and will share information and history about Lake Dillon. Tours are an hour and 15 minutes in length and reservations must be made at least 24 hour in advance.

There's lots of nature to see while out on Lake Dillon. Venture over to Heaton Bay and check out the Osprey nests. There have been reports of a bald eagle's nest and baby eagles learning to leave the nest, so you may get lucky enough to see these amazing birds during your journey!

When you start feeling hungry or thirsty, head to the Island Grill located right at the Marina. This full service restaurant and bar is just steps from the water and offers some amazing views of the lake. There's a great happy hour daily from 4-7pm and even live music on Fridays throughout the summer! Open weather permitting.

During your summer travels in and around Summit County, be sure to swing by Frisco Bay Marina.

Frisco Bay Marina is open from 8am-7pm daily. Find out more information at www.townoffrisco.com/frisco-bay-marina.
